MEET Alyssa Westervelt, RCSWI

Life can feel overwhelming, and during difficult moments, it may seem impossible to regain control. Emotions can become intense, and knowing how to manage them can feel like an insurmountable challenge. Taking the first step toward therapy is often difficult, but it can also be the most important step toward healing and growth. As a therapist, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients can develop the skills and coping strategies they need to manage their distress and promote emotional well-being. Together, we will work to process difficult emotions, navigate challenging situations, and help you build a life that feels worth living.

I am passionate about supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-confidence, anger, communication difficulties, and relationship issues. I work with a diverse range of clients, including those dealing with trauma, PTSD, dissociative disorders (DID), self-harming behaviors, and suicidal ideation. I also have extensive experience working with individuals in the LGBTQ+ community, including bisexual, lesbian, queer, non-binary, and transgender clients, and I am adoption-competent. My therapeutic approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, integrating a variety of evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Eclectic Therapy.

In our work together, you can expect a collaborative and empathetic relationship where you are heard, validated, and empowered. My focus is on helping you develop the emotional intelligence and regulation skills necessary to manage distress and unlock your full potential. I offer flexible scheduling options to ensure that therapy can fit into your busy life.
